Did you know that the study of history does not have to be a boring activity? In fact, history can be a very interesting and entertaining subject. All you have to do is check out what this site has to offer to see what I mean. The treasure chamber of Downloads was designed for sharing as many 'Bytes of History' as I am able to gather together in one convenient spot. The freeware and shareware programs found within the halls of my castle are yours to download and enjoy. Some of these 'jewels' are strictly informational and educationally useful, but the majority are games which contain historical content. Just imagine, you can learn history while having fun!

The original castle went online back in 1998. At the time, the site was designed as a virtual castle to be explored for its aura of history as well as for its treasures. Unfortunately, over time the aged castle began to crumble. Constant maintenance was required, but time precluded the castle's upkeep. The only recourse was to tear down the castle walls & move the treasure back to the schoolhouse. The design surrounding the castle treasure is no longer as whimsical, but more functional instead.
